Day 3 of San Diego Comic Con International is buzzing with news, here’s what’s happening so far:

WB Following Man of Steel with a 2015 Superman/Batman Crossover Film – Warner Bros. has announced that the follow up is a Man of Steel sequel featuring none other than Batman, tentatively scheduled for release in 2015. They’ve also stated that they hope to release a movie based on the Flash, in 2016 and a Justice League film in 2017. According to the official press release, they are currently in pre-production, with Snyder co-writing the story with David S. Goyer. Christopher Nolan will executive produce the sequel, with Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane all returning. Zack Snyder has stated Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns would influence the story (though he stressed they weren’t adapting that graphic novel.) After the quote, Snyder unveiled the logo for the crossover.

The Amazing Spiderman’s Marc Webb Teases Sinister Six? – When speaking to Crave Online, Webb hinted at an obscure villain. “What about The Gentleman? Think about the Gentleman…” he cryptically says. The Gentleman first appeared in the graphic novel, Spider-Man: The Gathering of the Sinister Six. According to the novel, Peter’s parents played a part in The Gentleman’s brother’s death, and he then assembles the Sinister Six to kill Spider-Man. With The Amazing Spiderman 2 already featuring multiple villains (Electro, Rhino, Green Goblin, and possibly Vulture and Black Cat) could the franchise be headed in that direction?

WB and Legendary Panel Surprise With Warcraft Teaser – After showing the crowd in Hall H footage from the Jeff Bridges-starring Seventh Son and new Godzilla film, WB and Legendary Pictures revealed a teaser for the upcoming live action adaptation of the popular role-playing game, World of Warcraft. When the teaser was finished, Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code) came on stage asking if he could get something out of his system, he screamed like a fanboy and said, “I know how lucky I am and I’m so, so excited to do it.” He also mentioned that the footage shown was a “mood piece” with official shooting to start early next year.

Details On Telltale Game’s Walking Dead Season 2  – Fans of the first season, rest easy, according to the panel at today’s SDCC: Clementine will “definitely be a part of” the upcoming season, as well as the exploration of Kenny’s fate. A teaser image during the panel showed Clementine sitting in the rain, next to an unknown child. Little else is known about Season 2, whether these will just be cameos or if you’ll be able to play as Clementine and Kenny. Fox Panel Debuts Footage For Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, The Wolverine and X-Men: Days of Future Past – Excitement and buzz were abound in Hall H today, as Dawn of the Planet of the Apes held a Cirque de Soleil-esque show, with people in ape costumes, before launching into footage. The footage shown was not FX heavy, seeing as it takes a long time to render the CGI apes. The Wolverine was next and showcased Hugh Jackman’s Logan, facing off against a room full of ninjas. Finally, Jackman stayed on stage and was quickly joined by most, if not all of the Days of Future Past cast. They showed footage with various scenes of both future and past incarnations in the new 3D film.

Thor: The Dark World & Captain America: The Winter Soldier Panel Thrills and Surprises – Right off the excitement of Fox’s panel, with X-Men and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes comes Marvel’s eagerly awaited panel – and let me tell you, it didn’t disappoint! We start with a full trailer of Thor: The Dark World, and then introduced to a teaser for Captain America: The Winter Soldier and are finally given an official look at the titular Winter Soldier! The cast of Guardians of the Galaxy takes the stage at Hall H next and they have a small teaser prepared, but it’s for The Avengers: Age of Ultron. After the footage, which shows CGI images slowly taking the form of Ultron’s face, they move on to the Guardians teaser. All in all, Marvel’s Phase 2 is shaping up to be pretty good.

That about covers it for Day 3 of San Diego Comic-Con International. Stay tuned to Diabolique for more exciting news with SDCC!
