It seems like I’ve been talking about the Eli Roth produced shocker Clown for years – likely because I have been.  Clown has opened in just every other market around the globe except here in the good ole USA but that is about to change.  The Jon Watt’s directed grease paint gone wrong gore fest is going to finally hits our shores in theaters and VOD on June 17th and Dimension has put together a brand spanking new trailer to get the masses all a quiver.

Here’s your story rundown:

It’s Jack’s 10th birthday, but the clown has cancelled. His dad, Kent, finds an old clown suit in the attic and saves the party. But after the party is over, Kent has a problem… the suit won’t come off. What starts as a joke quickly turns into a hellish nightmare. Kent can feel himself changing, and his desperate attempts to free himself just leave him in agonising pain.
As the suit takes hold of his body, Kent slowly endures a brutal transformation. As he changes, an uncontrollable hunger begins to consume him, an overwhelming and insatiable hunger… for children.

Andy Powers, Peter Stormare, Laura Allen, and Elizabeth Whitmere all star.

I viewed a screener of Clown almost a year ago – it’s a strong little flick that doesn’t fail to entertain and shock.  I’d keep an eye on your VOD menu and give this one a spin when it shows up.
