If there is one thing that KISS co-founder Gene Simmons and the WWE have in common it’s their ability to hype their wares and really when you think about it, it’s hard to believe its taken this long for this marriage to occur.
Mr. Simmons and WWE Studios have announced they have joined forces to bring us Erebus Pictures, who will produce genre-fare for all us crazy horror fans. They are kicking things off with a three picture deal with the first project being Temple, a property that WWE Studios already had in their sights.
Simmons is excited, “The horror genre continues to fascinate me as it proves to be endlessly thrilling and engaging for audiences,” and continues with, “I am so thrilled to be working with the masterminds from WWE Studios in launching Erebus Pictures.”
As far as what Temple is all about, it was written by Matt Savelloni and “follows a team of highly trained operatives who find themselves trapped inside an isolated military compound after its artificial intelligence is suddenly shut down. While investigating the source of the malfunction, the crew begins to experience strange and horrific phenomena as they attempt to uncover who or what killed the team previously stationed at the compound.”
No director or casting yet but updates will be posted as info comes in.
You can expect to be seeing lots and lots of promo across WWE’s vast array of entertainment properties.
