Director Lawrie Brewster and screenwriter Sarah Daly of Hex Media need your help to complete post-production and marketing their new film, The Black Gloves!

Deep in the Scottish highlands, Dr. Finn Galloway suspects a terrifying conspiracy to unleash an unimaginable Horror…

The Black Gloves is a 1940s-set Film Noir that combines spine-tingling horror with intense psychological dread – a supernatural tale where one man must battle against a terrifying stalker as ancient as time itself.

Our film stars Macarena Gomez (Shrew’s Nest, Dagon) Jamie Scott- Gordon (The Unkindness of Ravens) and Alexandra Nicole Hulme (Lord of Tears.)

The Black Gloves features one of the most terrifying entities of ancient legend, made popular around the world in both film and literature – a figure some call ‘The Owlman’.

Inspired by the texts of ancient religion and Celtic/Eastern mythology, the Owlman has become an internet phenomenon. From his first outing in our micro-budget feature Lord of Tears to the many videos which have followed, the Owlman has captured the imagination of audiences around the world.

Lawrie Brewster is passionate about making bold, original horror films that are rich with mythology and lore. His previous films ‘Lord of Tears’ and ‘The Unkindness of Ravens’ have both received critical acclaim, as well as, most importantly, high praise from horror fans who are hungry for something different.

Sarah Daly is a prolific Irish screenwriter with a love for all things dark and mysterious. Her writing is the cornerstone of Hex Media’s focus on original, thrilling stories above all else. The Black Gloves is her fourth feature collaboration with Lawrie Brewster, and the duo’s most ambitious yet.

The film stars Macarena Gomez, legendary Spanish horror and fantasy actress who stars in the recent Musarañas (Shrew’s Nest) as well as the classic Dagon by Stuart Gordon, and Miguel Marti’s Sexy Killer.

In The Black Gloves, Macarena Gomez dazzles as the formidable Miss Velasco, in a memorable and powerhouse performance.

Co-Starring is Jamie Scott Gordon, star of our last film The Unkindness of Ravens. As an intense method actor, his performance drew praise from audiences and critics alike

‘Jamie Scott Gordon is stunning because of his emotional depth and because of the range he demonstrates.’ Ain’t It Cool News

Nicholas Vince (Hellraiser, Nightbreed) co-stars as the mysterious ‘Uncle Edward.’ Nicholas is a classic horror actor and a brilliant journalist, specialising in the genre.

Also starring is Alexandra Nicole Hulme, who starred in our original Owlman feature Lord of Tears. Alexandra brings to life the haunting beauty and terrifying menace of her unpredictable character.
