The son of a VHS Pirate, Matt was exposed to video nasties at a tender young age and soon became a macabre movie fanatic. A student of Roman Catholic messages in genre film, he enjoys tracing the genesis of religious themes throughout the history of horror cinema. He has bylines at Dread Central and Horror Homeroom, and is a regular contributor at LongLiveTheVoid.com. He is also an occasional screenplay writer and PAGE Award finalist. Matt’s first book ‘Porte Dell’Inferno – Lucio Fulci, The Vatican, and the Uncontainable Evil’ is a semi-academic exploration of the religious themes in the Italian director’s work, and is coming soon.
