Andy Muschietti's atmospheric, intense MAMA arrived on DVD and Blu-ray today. A mixture between a Grimm fairy tale and standard issue haunting movie, MAMA was a hit for Muschietti, Universal, star Jessica Chastain and producer Guillermo Del Toro. Following his next film, the genre-action monster fighter PACIFIC RIM, Del Toro plans to return to haunted house territory with the enigmatic CRIMSON PEAK following the filming of his FX series based on his book, THE STRAIN, starring HOUSE OF CARDS star Corey Stoll.

So, in summary, if you're a Del Toro fan, would you prefer to see Del Toro stick to producing horror for up-and-coming filmmakers regularly or directing horror himself regularly? Think hard on this one, fans.

According to Deadline, British Actor and NO ONE LIVES star Luke Evans is in the final stages of negotiating for THE CROW remake. Next to his attachment to the DRACULA reboot and his role in THE RAVEN, Evans is certainly building a name for himself in the genre world.

This particular remake has been very fascinating to follow, with names like Bradley Cooper, Tom Hiddleston and Alexander Skarsgaard all attached at one point and the script passing through the hands of BLADE's Steven Norrington, THE PROPOSITION's Nick Cave and WATCHMEN's Alex Tse. Hopefully, director F. Javier Gutierrez can do right by the project and bring Eric Draven to life once more.
